Care:
Guppies are ideal for beginner aquarists due to their hardy nature. They thrive in well-planted tanks with plenty of swimming space. A mix of live plants and open areas allows them to explore and display their vibrant colors. They do well in peaceful community tanks with other small, non-aggressive fish.
Diet:
Guppies are omnivorous and will eat a variety of foods. A high-quality flake or pellet food, formulated for guppies, should be their primary diet. You can supplement this with live or frozen foods like brine shrimp, daphnia, and bloodworms. Occasionally offering vegetable matter like spirulina flakes or blanched vegetables can enhance their colors and overall health.
Breeding:
Like other guppies, red-tail guppies are livebearers, meaning they give birth to live fry rather than laying eggs. They breed easily in aquariums, often without intervention. Providing hiding spots for the fry, such as dense plants or a separate breeding tank, is essential to protect them from adult guppies.
Sexual Differences:
Males are smaller and more colorful, with larger, fan-shaped tails displaying the vibrant orange colors. Females are larger, with less coloration, but still retain a subtle beauty.

Postage costs
All small products, plant or snail orders are $3.99 flat postage. Large products, plant or snail orders are $10.99 tracked postage.
Express is a flat $13.99 no matter the order size other than a few specific giant items (like big tanks).
Any larger tanks are a flat $39 postage. We price the tanks at the Pickup price, and postage always costs us more than $50 for them, so we have to charge a bit extra.
Live Goods and Postage
All live goods are sent with express post for a flat $13.99. Purchases for the week will be cut off SUNDAY - 8pm. All orders placed after that time may be sent on the following week.
Super Safe Postage
All parcels will have the "super safe express" postage option. It is optional, but if selected, we will go above and beyond with extra features to make sure your fish arrive safe.
These extra features (Thicker large parcels, larger and more bags, heating, extra insulation and water for each fish etc...) are expensive and not necessary for most parcels,
so we have made it optional for those who want to take the extra care. For rural locations or just if you want to make sure your fish will be extra safe it is recommended. All postage options still have the DOA guarantee however.
Pickup
Pickup is from our store located at: 153/313 Harris St, Pyrmont, Sydney, NSW. Please let us know before you come after placing your order so we can confirm it will be ready then.
Terms and Conditions
We will refund or replace any livestock that arrives DOA (Dead on Arrival) but cannot guarantee your order will arrive on time since we have no control over the postage service. If you have any issues with your order please let us know.
