The Green Cobra Guppy stands out as a distinctive variant of the Poecilia reticulata guppy, meticulously bred over time to showcase its unique Green/Yellow snakeskin pattern that spans from nose to tail.

These guppies thrive in aquariums with a minimum capacity of 60 liters, known for their peaceful demeanor and compatibility with tankmates of similar temperament. While hardy and tolerant of slight fluctuations in water parameters, it's essential to maintain optimal conditions, including temperature, pH, and nutrient levels.

Breeding guppies is relatively straightforward, even for novice aquarists. An ideal breeding setup includes floating plants and a breeding box to protect the fry from adult guppies, which may prey on them if left unchecked. The fry should be nourished with a diet of brine shrimp, micro food, and pulverized flakes to support their growth.

To ensure proper nutrition, guppies require a balanced diet of algae-based foods and meaty fare. This includes algae-based flake food, freeze-dried bloodworms, tubifex, and brine shrimp.
