This listing is for one Swordtail, the Swordtail is a low-maintenance, docile livebearer fish available in various color and fin variations, including Red Wag, Red Velvet, Marigold, Black Nubian, Pineapple, and Neon Swordtail. Recognizable by the distinctive sword-like extension on its tail, typically seen in males, it's crucial to ensure adequate tank coverage due to its tendency to jump. This versatile fish is favored by aquarists of all skill levels.

Requiring a minimum 80-liter tank with ample vegetation and open space for swimming, the Swordtail's peaceful demeanor makes it suitable for community setups, though it may prey on fry. Male Swordtails can display aggression toward each other, warranting caution when housing multiples.

As a livebearer, the Swordtail can produce up to 80 fry in a single birth. Using a spawning box or providing dense floating cover is advised to protect the fry from adult Swordtails. Males should be separated once identified, as they can start breeding as early as three months old.

Feeding on a diet of commercial flakes, algae, and freeze-dried bloodworms, tubifex, and brine shrimp, the Swordtail is an omnivore.

Compatible tank mates include Guppies, Platies, Mollies, select Tetras, Rasboras, Rainbows, Danios, Gouramis, Bristlenose Plecos, and Scavenger Catfish.

They are great for almost any freshwater aquarium as well.
