Each fish develops its own individual colour pattern, making every specimen unique.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eActive, inquisitive, and moderately aggressive, Blueberry Cichlids are best kept with other similarly sized African cichlids in a spacious aquarium with plenty of rocks and caves to establish territories. Hard, alkaline water with a pH of 7.8–8.6 is recommended to keep them healthy.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs omnivores, they readily accept quality cichlid pellets and flakes, supplemented with frozen foods such as brine shrimp and mysis shrimp. Avoid overfeeding and maintain excellent water quality to ensure vibrant colouration and long-term health.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWith the right conditions, breeding is possible in the home aquarium. Females are maternal mouthbrooders, carrying the fertilised eggs in their mouths for around 3 weeks before releasing free-swimming fry.
